Leonora created and donated two lizard headpieces and two flamingos for The Animal Ball, 2013, a fundraising charity ball organised by The Elephant Family. They were worn by Cara Delevingne and the charity's own Ruth and Mary Powys to the event at London's Clarence House lawns and Lancaster House.

"The Elephant Family is collaborating with the V&A to display an exclusive collection of couture masks, created by the world's greatest fashion houses and inspired entirely by the animal kingdom."

This image was included in the V&A Museum's Conservation Couture exhibition, curated by Ryan Lanji. A further lemur headpiece was displayed in London's Selfridges store. In total, Leonora created 24 lemur headpieces to be donated to The Elephant Family charity for a group of guests at the 2016 ball.

Leonora's lemur headpieces were made in Dublin using faux fur offcuts donated by The Throw Company. All species of lemur are critically endangered, mainly due to rapid and widespread habitat destruction in their native Madagascar. They were chosen as a subject to draw attention to this status and to celebrate these varied, fascinating and intelligent creatures that we stand to lose.
