Gold Twist Headpiece

An exquisite, face framing piece that shimmers in the light.

Inspired by a precious fragment of fraying fabric, this headpiece sits on a hairband with subtle supports to keep it steady. It is completely hand made using a bobbin lace technique using gilt-covered copper wires, with the ends finished in tiny gold beads. 

This headpiece can also be made in silver or rose gold metallic wire for no extra charge. It can be made in a colour by request, but this may require more time to make. Small pearl or crystal beads can be added within the piece, though not to the wire ends. Please contact us to discuss all bespoke options prior to ordering, as an additional fee may apply.

The hairband is handmade from millinery wire, which can be more comfortable to wear for long periods than a traditional springy hairband. There is also a comb for stability. The hairband is wrapped in black ribbon, but alternative colours (eg. to blend with hair) can be applied on request for no extra charge.
